The game of basketball has evolved greatly throughout the its years of being played. As more and more people are introduced to the game, new skill sets are born, and competition rises to the top as never before seen. Basketball, for most people, is a platform to get out of their personal struggles or simply play for joy. Playing pro is probably the most common dream of many hoopers these days. The task is hard. Thousands and thousands of hours of hard work and dedication to the sport are required before one can fully reach the potential to go pro.
Talent is not common in most players. Some have it, and some don’t. That’s just the way life works. However, the most successful players have developed their amazing talent through years of working hard, and their results are relevant towards the work they put in. Similarly, athleticism works the same. Basketball is not just a game based off your skill sets towards the game itself. Your physical attributes play a massive role towards your success in the future. When you look at reality, most of the NBA players are simply freaks of nature. Most standing 6’7″ and having a vertical leap of at least 40″, it just proves how much athletic you have to be in order to compete in their caliber level.
As the game of basketball grows, so does the competition. Players these days just have to realize that they’d have to work as hard as they’ve ever before to make this elite level of professional basketball.
